ABSTRACT — The obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a rather frequent, albeit underdiagnosed, disorder in children. When undiagnosed, it is a real danger for children whose growth will be altered on the long term. We will review the examinions which may help diagnose this syndrome as well as the available treatments. The dental surgeon has a role to play and is an important actor of the multidisciplinary team necessary for the screening and treatment stages.
